Based on Starwood’s belief in the importance of the private sector’s contribution to the growth of each and every industry & the importance of sharing and exchanging experience among industry professionals, Starwood regional offices all over the world organize on yearly basis a series of Road Shows at the most important touristic destinations in each region. Those Road Shows are organized twice per year to include top sales & marketing executives from regional offices and properties.
On February 28th, 2009, Europe, Africa, Middle East Regional office organized its first Road Show for 2009 which covered six major destinations across the Middle East including Riyadh, Jeddah, Bahrain, Kuwait, Dubai and Abou Dhabi.
The second Road Show for 2009 was organized from November 2nd till November 6th to include Turkey, Greece, Egypt, Jordan & Lebanon, bringing together distinctive touristic experts from Starwood regional offices and hotels worldwide. Among those Executives, Mr. Amir Morcoss Director of Global Sales Starwood Hotels & Resorts Middle East & Mrs. Genevieve Materne Director of Sales Leisure Online/ Offline Starwood Hotels & Resorts.
Attended the event from Sheraton Cairo Top Executives Mr. Ibrahim Fahmy, Managing Director Starwood Hotels & Resorts Egypt & General Manager Sheraton Cairo Hotel, Mr. Sameh Abd el Wahab Hotel Manager & Director of Operations ,Mr. Hani Zariffa Executive Assistant Manager as well as the Sheraton Cairo Sales & Public Relations Team.
Starwood top executives visited Istanbul, Athens, Cairo, Amman and Beirut, holding a serious of work-shops for tourism professionals and top corporate companies in each destination to exchange views and expertise on the latest development in the industry as well as to reinforce the collaboration with Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide.
It’s worthwhile mentioning that this is the first time where Egypt is included in such Road Shows, whereas 174 travel agents and top corporate companies were invited, in addition to selective top media representatives.
