Second Toledo Mayoral Debate is a 'Fireside Chat'

TOLEDO, Ohio, October 13, 2009--Independent mayoral candidate Mike Bell and Democrat candidate Keith Wilkowski will meet in a non-traditional debate October 14, 2009. Instead of the traditional town hall debate, the event will be more of a fireside chat, FOX Toledo News Director Steve France said. Toledo Free Press Special Sections Editor Brandi Barhite and FOX Toledo News Anchor Laura Emerson will ask questions directly to the candidates. The debate will air live and uninterrupted by commercials on FOX Toledo.

The mayoral debate is presented by SSOE and The University of Toledo, with media partners Toledo Free Press, FOX Toledo News First at 4 and 10, and Glass City Jungle. It will take place 5:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at The University of Toledo Driscoll Alumni Center in the Schmakel Room.
