eMeter Announces Itron Joins Interoperability Program
San Mateo, Calif., November 19, 2008–
eMeter, a global leader in clean energy technology, announced today that Itron, a leader in Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI) solutions has joined itsIntegratedMDMSM Program.
“The purpose of eMeter’sIntegratedMDMProgram is to foster closer cooperation and interoperability between eMeter’s EnergyIPTM, the leading independent Meter Data Management (MDM) System, and leading AMI technologies,” said Larsh Johnson, eMeter CTO. “With the capabilities of AMI systems evolving so rapidly, this program is designed to provide utilities with assurance that if they select a participating AMI technology, the technology will operate with the EnergyIP MDMS now and in the future. Utilities selecting AMI solutions can be fully confident that our products will work well together and meet or exceed performance requirements. “
This program formalizes the long-term working relationship that eMeter has enjoyed with Itron. Under the program, each of the AMI companies independently agreed to cooperate in the integration of their AMI technology with the EnergyIP software. The eMeterIntegratedMDMprogram consists of the following elements:

. Enabling eMeter’s MDM to interoperate with the participating AMI technologies.

of MDM and AMI Systems
. Creating open, independent MDM that allows utilities to select from the participant’s offerings now and in the future.

. On-going development cooperation and release planning between eMeter and the AMI companies covering existing and future functionality.
