Cartus Recognizes Extraordinary Achievements at Eighth Annual Global Network Conference

Cartus Corporation, the premier provider of global employee relocation and workforce development solutions, held its eighth annual Global Network conference, entitled "Leading the Way," on Oct. 27-28 in Washington, D.C. Cartus Network members from approximately 190 companies and 40 countries attended the annual event, which recognized extraordinary service by network members in serving Cartus’ international customers and clients.

The 2008 lineup of awards reflected record numbers of winners, and included:

Cartus Cup, recognizing the service providers of the year, was presented to US Inspect and Budd Van Lines

Masters Cup, which recognizes continued exceptional performance of previous Cartus Cup winners, was presented to MSS

Movers Specialty Service

Commitment to Excellence awards, recognizing service performance, were presented to a total of 83 companies in Platinum, Gold, and Silver achievement categories.

Voice of the Customer awards recognize outstanding performance results on specific client accounts and was presented to 15 member companies

Delivering More awards recognize those network members who have gone over and above in delivering service to clients and customers and were presented to 17 companies.

New this year, Supplier Innovation awards were presented to 14 companies that had submitted initiatives generating proven service or cost-savings results.

In addition to attending the formal awards dinner, attendees at the two-day educational seminar heard a keynote address from Kevin J. Kelleher, president and CEO of Cartus, who shared his insights on navigating the challenges of the global business environment, issues for the relocation industry, and the opportunities ahead for Cartus and the Global Network. Attendees also participated in workshops that spanned a wide variety of topics, including presentations by Cartus Executive Vice President John Arcario on "Global Growth and Expanding Capabilities" and Gerry Pearce, Cartus senior vice president, on "Optimizing the Customer Service Experience." Attendees benefited from learning circuit roundtables on topics such as e-procurement systems, the latest news in household shipments, and doing business in Asia.

"The Global Network Conference provides a forum in which to learn, grow, and plan for the coming year," said Traci Morris, senior vice president, Cartus supply chain management. "Leading the Way’ offers an educational experience for our service providers and celebrates the power of their partnership with Cartus."

Participants applauded the value of the sessions offered at the forum and some characterized the conference as "… a great motivator that addressed many of the issues suppliers face in today’s competitive marketplace."
